Posted by Ray Woods/Les Barrett on September 2, 2018 at 4:25 PM

Once again, Erdington Court men were the hosts for the prestigious Birmingham Bowling Association's (BBA)Tony Cooke Memorial Trophy Match - against the combined might of the rest of the BBA.

All 6 all-weather rinks were in use - with a total of 48 players in action and the BBA fielded rink squads from as far afield as Tamworth.

The BBA were led by their Vice President Brian Rogers. Antony Gould from Sutton Coldfield led the Court team.

Also present was Tony Cooke's widow Joy from Solihull who spoke of her pride in being at the event to commemorate the contribution to bowls made by her husband.

The Court won 131:107 taking 4 of the 6 rinks.
